Scarlet Badis are tiny, brightly colored fish prized for their vibrant red and blue striping. Males display stunning colors, especially in planted aquariums. Although peaceful, they can be territorial with other males and do best in species or peaceful nano community tanks.

Native to slow-moving streams and ponds in India with dense vegetation.

Provide a heavily planted aquarium with driftwood, rocks, moss, and plenty of hiding places.

Scarlet Badis prefer frozen and live foods such as baby brine shrimp, daphnia, blackworms, and microworms. Some can be trained to eat quality micro pellets.

Generally safe with adult shrimp but may eat baby shrimp.

Scarlet Badis breed readily in heavily planted aquariums. Males establish small territories and attract females to spawn among mosses or plants.

All fish are carefully packed with insulated packaging and heat or cold packs when needed. Acclimate slowly after arrival to reduce stress.
