Pearl Danio

Pearl Danios are native to Southeast Asia, where they inhabit slow-moving rivers, streams, ponds, and flooded fields with plenty of vegetation.

They enjoy planted aquariums with open swimming space. Driftwood, rocks, and live plants help create a natural environment while still allowing plenty of room for schooling.

Pearl Danios are omnivores and readily accept flakes, micro pellets, frozen foods, and live foods. A varied diet helps keep their colors bright and supports overall health.

Generally compatible with adult shrimp. They may eat very small shrimp fry, so a heavily planted tank is recommended if breeding shrimp.

Pearl Danios are egg scatterers and can be bred in the home aquarium. Adults may eat their eggs, so using a breeding tank or spawning mop can help improve survival rates.

All fish are carefully packed with insulated packaging and heat or cold packs when needed. We recommend bringing your fish inside as soon as they arrive. Float the bag to match the tank temperature before slowly acclimating them to your aquarium.
